Beth
I had a similar experience when giving up the carbs.
I work in childcare, pretty demanding job both physically and mentally
and became quite ill in the first week.
I changed my diet slightly by reducing the amount of carbs I ate and
having them during the day when my body needed them the most.
Look for foods that have less than 5g/100g carbohydrates in them and
have them for breakfast and lunch and then no carbs at dinner time.
Once your body has adjusted to it and/or your workload diminishes, you
can reduce carbs even more.
Good luck with it Beth.
