I found these two posts in my WHAT WORKS database about salt:

I found a cure that worked perfectly for me. I must warn you however, that I am
not
doctor, I am only saying what worked for me. If you have high blood pressure or
are
overweight, consult a doctor before trying this.

Below is my theory:
Rosacea is not a skin problem but a stomach problem. When the stomach is ill,
extra
blood flushes in to heal it. However, all parts of the digestive are interactive
& blood
flushes into other parts of the digestive system as well, namely the mouth &
nose. This
extra blood, over a period of time, stretches the veins & causes capillaries in
the face to
enlarge, resulting in redness & other problems. This is not true for everyone,
but for those
who have a genetic tendency to blush easily; the veins are maybe more delicate &
stretchier & become damaged more easily.

Rosacea could be caused by an ulcer; sometimes chemotherapy can cause damage to
the
stomach lining and a temporary case of rosacea could occur.

Rosacea has also been associated with a lack of digestive acid (Hydrochloric
acid {HCL})in
the stomach. It's possible the stomach loses the ability to make acid, but
perhaps it just
lacks the ingredients to make it. Namely hydrogen & chlorine. Hydrogen is
everywhere, but
what about chlorine?

Well, I believe our main source of chlorine is good old salt, NaCL. Our bodies
contain
about a cup of salt, but if you don't eat much, you will gradually begin to run
out & the
body will not function properly. The stomach will have trouble digesting & blood
will come
flushing in.

We've been given this blanket advice that Americans eat too much salt, and have
been led
to believe that the less we eat the better off we are. I have grave doubts about
this since I
gotten rid of Rosacea by getting off my long time low-salt diet. It took me
months rather
than weeks to get cured. And I don't mean just improved, I mean I got rid of it.

The warning is, however, that salt holds water & may cause one to become
heavier, which
could be dangerous in a high blood pressure situation.

My perfect cure cost practically nothing but just took some patience. After
experimenting
with various diets, I found that my rosacea was nothing but a deficiency of
sodium
chloride--table salt. It took several months on a diet containing at least 2400
mg of salt
per day (the minimum daily requirement) to get rid of the worst of the flushing.
It took
quit some time longer to get red of all the bumps & redness entirely, and I have
to stay on
a diet containing an adequate amount of salt.
