The super rosacea forum is available now and all
one has to do to access this forum is provide their
identity, mailing address, and an email address to
become a RRDi corporate member and agree to the
rules and all the legal stuff and it is available for free.
The RRDi has a strict privacy policy and your privacy is
safeguarded. There is no charge or donation required to
be a RRDi corporate member. The RRDi has provided a
safe forum for professionals and in order to do this there
are some tight restrictions which protect these professionals
and a little army of volunteer moderators to prevent any abuse
of the rules. The RRDi is completely made up of volunteers and
volunteering is the spirit behind the RRDi.
The super rosacea forum has fifteen professionals answering
corporate members questions on rosacea research. These
professionals have agreed to spend 15 minutes a month
answering rosaceans' questions and advising the board of
directors of the RRDi on what research to sponsor
(if we ever get any funding).
The professionals include twelve physicians and three Ph.D.s.
Three of the physicians also hold Ph.D.s in addition to an M.D.
Six of the physicians are professors of dermatology at prestigious
universities. One other physician is a research follow of
dermatology at Harvard, another physician is a faculty instructor
in ophthalmology also at Harvard, and another physician is a
clinical professor at West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine.
Three physicians are ophthalmologists (one out of two rosaceans
have ocular rosacea). One of the Ph.D.s is an instructor in dermatology
at Harvard and has her own research lab, while still another is an
instructor in health and fitness at Colorado State. One Ph.D. is a
clinical researcher. Four out of the the fifteen professionals are females.
With the addition of Dr. Stratton who is an associate professor of
patholgy and medicine at Vanderbilt, this brings more balance to the
force. And one physician on the MAC has rosacea! You can see the list
and all their credentials, photos and background at this url >

Some of the subjects currently being discussed in the ASK THE MAC
private forum for corporate members are rosacea and diet, rosacea
and chlamydia pneumoniae, light emitting diaode therapy,
vaso-restriction drugs, anti-flushing drugs, anti-inflammatories,
and laser/IPL. This list will no doubt grow. MAC members have
volunteered from their busy schedules to respond to corporate
members questions. If a MAC member is busy and can't volunteer
for a month, the RRDi understands and can wait until the MAC
professional has the volunteer time. The RRDi will continue to
increase the number of MAC professionals who are willing to help
rosaceans find a cure for rosacea. How do you bring together the
greatest minds on rosacea into one think tank?
The RRDi MAC super forum.
You may try to find a better 'super forum' out there but I think
anyone trying to out do the RRDi super forum will have a hard
act to follow. And since the RRDi is an approved 501 (c) (3) approved
non profit organization, what more do you want? If the RRDi doesn't
have it, then join us and change the direction of this volunteer
organization and work for what you want.
Do you have a volunteer spirit? Join the RRDi. Finding the Cure.
