Suz,
I finally got around to reading Dr. Sarno's book
'Healing Back Pain.' After getting through all the
different diagnois for back pain I did find the
entire theory that TMS may be responsible for
other problems like skin conditions interesting.
I am trying to apply his theory that built up anger
and other repressed feelings in the subconscious
maybe the culprit for rosacea. I just finished the
book yesterday and obviously it will take some
time to see if there is any difference. I will try to
get his other book, 'The Mind Body Prescription.'
I found the chapter on the Placebo Effect helpful
to understand that the mind does effect the
body and that it may be possible to use our mind
to help control rosacea. As he says, it is obvious
that more research needs to be done on this.
TMS (Tension Myositis Sydrome) may have something
to do with rosacea and I am going to try to apply
his technique in my life. Stress is no doubt one
of the major triggers for rosacea and is on EVERY
list as one of the triggers. For the last six months
I have had way too much stress and his book
has opened my eyes to why my rosacea is
been giving me fits again. Right now after just
reading Dr. Sarno's book my face is calmer and
much improved. (It may be possible that the
stress of using the DMSO Fluconazle effected
my subconscious and aggravated my rosacea
since there are so many unknown factors
responsible for rosacea.) I just wanted to thank
you for recommending his book to the group
and I second the motion.
I recommend to the group reading his book and seeing if others
like Suz have found improvement in their rosacea.
Suz, you say below that you actually took one of his
lectures and I wonder how it is going after applying
his method from hearing him personally?
