For the past five years the National Rosacea
Society has received in donations a
total of $4,169,722 and spent a total of
$277,157 on rosacea research. That means that
less than 7% of total donations was spent on
research. That means that of every dollar
donated to the NRS seven cents is spent on
research and the rest is used to run the
organization and provide such as services a
Rosacea Hotline (1-888-NO-BLUSH), a web site,
email, publications for rosaceans, a Newsletter,
and Information for Physicians. Probably one of
the best things the NRS has done is to classify
rosacea which has become the standard
promoted to dermatologists. You may read my
full editorial on the NRS at the sister site >

As much as the NRS has done for rosaceans
there is an alternative for rosacea
research -
