Re: [rosacea-diet-users-support-group] someone who sees a differance?

Yes for me the diet definately worked. I noticed improvements after a couple of
weeks. I've added more vegetables now though and it still seems to be under
control. Redness is almost gone (no need for makeup anymore) and i havent had
any pimples at all.I think diet is the primary cause of rosacea. A lot of
illnesses stems from eating the wrong type of foods. I do also believe sun
damage contributes as well although I've never been one to spend a lot of time
in the sun, have always used sunscreen and hats, even during winter. I
personally believe there are many factors.

Subject: [rosacea-diet-users-support-group] someone who sees a differance?

Dear all,
I'd like to hear from someone who has noticed a definate differance
in their skin being on this diet. I'm convinced rosacea is the
effects of sun damage - and if this diet helps keep flares and
inflammation down, great, but I'd like to hear from someone that it
is actually helping....not just helping to lose weight.
A lot of us grew up with UVA blocking sun blocks, not the
double...and UVB rays that can pass through glass effect a lot of
flight pilots up in the thin atmosphere who get rosacea on the side
of their face they sit on, the side near the window.
A lot of us where also raised to beleive sun was good for you too.
Has anyone's rosacea been helped by this that is willing to post?

I don't know if mine is caused by the sun, but I suspect it is an hsitorical factor, having been a teen in the 70s and off at the beach or tanning in the yard....

Pam, I am thinking the sun has something to do with rosacea as all the trigger lists include sun as a factor. I used some sun block (50 SPF) today on my face...
