Re: this diet

Katherine,

30 days on the Rosacea Diet poses no known
health risks. If you have read the book you will
notice that you may go back eating whatever
you want after the thirty days. The concept is
to prove that you can control your rosacea with
diet. Many in this group have testified that it
works to control rosacea. There are currently
195 members in this group and over 2450 posts,
the majority of which testify that the Rosacea
Diet does indeed control rosacea. If you decide
to try this diet for thirty days I encourage you to
ask your physician about changing your diet for
thirty days to see if this would indeed control
your rosacea. Low carbohydrate diets are now
recognized as helping reduce obesity and overall
health. You need certain fat for survival and
if you read my chapter on 'Protein and Fat -
Essential for Life!' you may change your mind
on the 'fat is bad' mantra. Rosacea is a complicated
disease, and one day the 'health authorities' will
come out and and say that a diet high in sugar
increases rosacea flare-ups. The day is coming
very soon since there is so much evidence that
diet is a huge factor in rosacea.

Brady

The diet helped me a lot. I have now added some carbs back into my diet, but without the time I spent on the diet in the first place, I wouldn't have figured...

I eat low fat cheeses--the no fat cheese just don't taste good to me. But I found a 75% less fat sharp cheddar by Cabot that tastes good, so I keep that one...
