(!!!) Brady Barrows was prescribed (DMSO + fluconazole), to cure ro   Message List

For Everyone,
Well, it has finally happened. A rosacean who is well known and respected in
the rosacean community, is going to try this (DMSO + fluconazole) treatment/cure
for rosacea.
I will be praying that Brady Barrows, (owner of the Yahoo! "rosaceans" group),
is infinitely patient and persistent, (which is what is necessary with this
treatment/cure), and that he has a good result. The "rosaceans group", is at:
<http://groups.yahoo.com/group/rosaceans/>

But I caution everyone. Brady is only one rosacean, out of about 200,000,000.
Whatever his experience might be, no one should doubt the validity of this
treatment/cure. If enough rosaceans do not try this treatment/cure at this
time, then many years of delay will most likely be involved, before clinical
double blind trials prove the validity of this (DMSO + fluconazole)
treatment/cure for rosacea.
The following email exchange was posted on the "rosaceans board", recently. I
hope everyone enjoys this news, because I can hardly believe my eyes....
God Bless,

Dear Brady,
I just couldn't resist the humor --- there are so many rosacea 'cure' claims....
I AM happy, but I'm also "SHOCKED SILLY" (!)
As we put it in the 1960s, "You are blowing my mind!".
BTW, I will try to keep my posts short on the "rosaceans board" as we've agreed
in the past. I hope you allow me this EXCEPTION (!!!)
I wish this could have happened 11 months ago, but it is NOW easy, for me to see
how this (DMSO + fluconazole), (i.e. [FLUCONAZOLE 1% SOLUTION], or [FLUCONAZOLE
10% SOLUTION] treatment/cure could be "misunderstood". I can only plead total
ignorance, of the whole rosacea "scene", before I naively "announced" this
treatment/cure in April 2003. If I had known, how difficult establishing this
treatment/cure would be, I might have waited several years, for some clinical
trials to prove this. But my heartistic empathy, for all rosaceans, has not
permitted me to think that way. To simply ignore all the present suffering, is
not in me.

Allow me now to play the devil's advocate.
As I have said all along, this is not an "easy" cure, nor is it an "overnight"
cure. Also, the damage done by the rosacea, is not removed, and you definitely
look worse, before you look better.
I went through MANY, MANY MONTHS of doubt, about this treatment/cure, as I
repeatedly applied the med, and went through the suffering of the effects, which
can take WEEKS of healing/regeneration, each time a heavy, multiple application
of the med is made.
Because I respect you so much, Brady, and because I know that you will probably
have the same doubts that I had, I shudder to think about what you might say,
when you attempt to try this treatment/cure, AND HOW MUCH YOUR WORDS WILL AFFECT
ALL ROSACEANS.
Brady, you tend to be very humble, about your accomplishments, in the realm of
rosaceans. But I happen to believe that your "rosaceans group", has more REAL
MEMBERS, than any other rosacea group in existence. Therefore, frankly, I am
scared stiff, concerning what you will think and say about this treatment/cure.

I can only plead with you, ahead of time, to please be PATIENT, and PERSISTENT,
in your trial of this treatment/cure for rosacea. I believe that about
200,000,000 rosaceans will be turned one way or the other, depending on your
experience with this treatment/cure for rosacea.
One reason I have not been posting the email of those who are presently trying
this treatment/cure, is that everyone does go through some suffering, and some
doubts, with this treatment/cure.
I wish to God, that there were a better cure for rosacea, with less suffering
involved, but my absolute claim, is that this is the only one. And, since
rosacea is a horribly progressive disease, in my opinion, the sooner this (DMSO
+ fluconazole) treatment/cure is used, the better, because otherwise, symptoms
are suppressed, (by so many types of 'treatments'), while the rosacea continues
to grow and cause more damage.
The best "GOOD NEWS", that I can give you, is that a new, [FLUCONAZOLE 10%
SOLUTION] has been prescribed, and it appears that it is "milder", with slightly
less stinging, and more effectiveness. And the price from my Compounding
Pharmacist, Michael Roberge, R.Ph., is very reasonable, in my opinion. His
website is at:
<compoundedsolutions.com>
The 1% med is [$47.00 per 15 ML], and the 10% med is [$102.00 per 15 ML]. That
means that you get five times the amount of fluconazole in the 10% med, for your
money.
And now, since I believe you are bending over backwards, to help in this matter,
I must make a confession to you. As I told you, I have not had rosacea
symptoms, since sometime in 2002, but I have occasionally continued to treat the
inside of my nose. The 1% med had improved the condition, inside my nose, a
thousand percent, by getting rid of the deadly sleep apnea, which that constant
infestation blockage inside my nose had caused for many years. But that
infestation/condition inside my nose, has never completely been eradicated.
Recently, on Feb. 22, 2004, (28 months after I began this treatment/cure), I
treated the inside of my nose with [FLUCONAZOLE 10% SOLUTION], for the first
time, and, after SIX WEEKS OF TRYING TO INTERPRET THE EFFECTS, I am certain that
it has been more effective, than was the 1% med.
I believe the problem, in the CARTILAGE inside the nose, is that it has no real
blood supply, so this med has to have more fluconazole, to treat it more
effectively.

In any case, it is now my strong opinion, that treating the FACE with the 10%
med, will be much more effective, than with the 1% med. If your doctor refuses
to prescribe the 10% med, then use the 1% med for a while, and then you can tell
your doctor that you INSIST on trying the 10% med.
I think I must be dreaming, dear Brady. I'm going to have to sleep on this
tonight, and then check at "rosaceans", tomorrow, to make sure I'm not just
dreaming this.
God Bless,
Dave Fleming

Dave,
Glad to see you are loosening up and enjoying all
this and can see some humor in rosacea. If you
were in the RDUSG I would probably give you the
2004 Rosacea Diet humor award but alas you are
not.
You will be happy to know that my wife went to
a clinic to get some 'chemically equivalent' hormones
and was referred to a compounding pharmacist.
While there I asked her abour DMSO 1% Diflucan
and she confirmed what you have been saying all
along that it is benign and shouldn't hurt rosacea.
I asked her for the names of a couple of doctors who
would work with her on this and the second one
gave me a prescription for it over the phone! The
compounding pharmacist called the number of the
compounding pharmacist you give on your site
and she is in the process of making up the prescription
for me which I will try out whenever I get it and
will let this group know the results.
My initial thought on all this especially considering
your approach on the subject of DMSO 1% Diflucan
is that it belongs in the same category as Ron
Tramontano but since talking to the compounding
pharmacist and the doctor over the phone there may
be some validity to the treatment. Time will tell.

You know what, any decent person who has truly found a
cure for rosacea in his kitchen would not try to sell
the cure. Don't ya think? Having rosacea makes you
feel for others having it..I personally would love to
help others ..and if it were in my kitchen I'd help
them for free!!!!
