The Rockbridge County Birth Circle is a FREE gathering for women to meet and share information about pregnancy and birth. We meet once a month in Rockbridge County, Virginia. This online "birth circle" will serve as a support group for women in our community between meetings and for those who are unable to attend in person. Women from outside the area are also welcome to join the group.

My vision for the birth circle, is that it is a place for women to come and be together, learn about pregnancy and birth, tell birth stories, and serve as a support group in this community. It is open to women of all ages, whether it is a woman interested in pregnancy and birth, a woman wanting to conceive, a woman who is pregnant, postpartum, or parenting, a woman who has experienced a pregnancy loss, or a woman beyond her childbearing years who would like to share her wisdom.

I would like the birth circle to feel comfortable for all women, whether they choose a midwife or a doctor for their care. Ideally this should be a place of mutual learning and non-judgment.
