Jim, altho I don't understand what you're going thru I too, have similar
vision and hearing. I try to keep busy doing things that brings me pleasure
and when it isn't hot outside I like to plant a garden and putter around
in the yard. Is there a hobby that you enjoy doing? Losing one's vision
and hearing isn't easy that's for sure but we do learn to cope.
Have you thought of attending an RP Social that takes place annually in
July in different parts of the country? It will give you more an idea how
other families deal with this RP journey.
Meanwhile, keep posting on the list.

I have RP and cataracts and only have centreal vision left.I also have
really bad tunnel vision and feel of balence alot.I have a loving wife and
children who are always there for me yet sometimes i feel so alone.I think it
is because as much as they care and educate themselves on RP they truly
dont understand the mental torment of having your world closing in around
you.I aslo have a hearing loss in each ear and really fear that i may have
ushers.
