Hi,

I'm new to this group, tried perusing past messages but couldn't find answers to
my question.  I wonder if anyone knows of the safety of laser surgery for
macular degeneration.  I'm asking this because a friend's 90-year-old
grandmother had the surgery, and then died two weeks later.  My 87-year-old
mother is scheduled for the surgery this Friday, August 15, and my family is a
bit stressed.
