Re: Carpal Tunnel Surgery??????

I went back to my doctor and he told me that I have RSD in my hand and
wrist. I am a Stage 3 Ovarian Cancer survivor and I had a med port in
my upper left chest area (same side as my carpal tunnel) that was used
for my chemo. About 8 weeks after my carpal tunnel surgery I had
surgery to remove the med port. My doctor sid that there is a large
bundel of nerves that runs just belong where my port tubbing was. He
said that more than likely that when the surgeon removed the port
tubbing her damaged part of the nerves causeing RSD. I had all the
carpal tunnel test run again and the doc said the carpal tunnel looks
much much better. So now I am trying to learn about RSD which i don't
understand at all.....lol

The main reason you need another surgery is because the pressure on the median nerve was caused by something outside of the carpal tunnel. Go to...
