RSI and Birth Control

Hi Liz,

Since birth control pills give the body the signal that you are
pregnant, then perhaps they can cause sufficient swelling that they
may cause pressure on the median nerve within the carpal tunnel. If
you are retaining fluids I'd suggest you speak to your physician
about it. Perhaps you can get some advice about how to stay on the
pill and still eliminate the swelling problem. I strongly suggest
you don't consider surgery to correct this problem, that would be
like going from the frying pan into the fire.
