Welcome to the National Reiki Spiritual Healing Coalition. This group formed in Dec. of 1998 to oppose a Texas Bill that would have given a small TX group affiliated with Reiki Alliance virtual control of Reiki in TX.

Now our goals have expanded to keep Reiki free of government control throughout the U.S. Often this means opposing the efforts of state massage boards which presently control the practice of Reiki in 4 states and are attempting to exert their authority in many others. There are at least 6 states (NORTH CAROLINA, MONTANA, MINNESOTA, MISSOURI, NEW YORK AND GEORGIA) with some legislation related to Reiki pending.

We encourage you to join our efforts and let your Reiki friends know about this important work.

*** Updated 11/04/01- In the last few years almost all the legislative activity related to Reiki has been by massage boards in varous states. They have tried to redefine Reiki in such a way so that they could require Reiki practitioners to get massage lisences as well. Resisting this effort has been the recent focus of this group***
