Dear Member,
I have decided to do a weekly review to give a bit of a recap on what is going
on in the
world of reflexology. If you know of any news, events or whatever seems relevant
please
email at footc@.... I don't promise to get this done every week but I hope
to be
doing it fairly frequently. So let's get started.
It has been an active week for posts. The most posted is about talkative clients
(haven't we
all been there).
I have been having extensive discussions with Mo Usher. Mo has been very active
for years
with the professionalism of reflexology. She was the former head of the
Association of
Reflexologist in the UK. We are brainstorming on a way to put all the great
minds of reflexology together. My suggestion to Mo was this forum.
I think we have great people on this forum. But who else do you want to see on
this
forum? In the left hand column there is an "invite" button. Do you know fellow
reflexologists you would like to invite? Or is there a leading authors such as
Moss and
Moshe you would like to invite? Or is there some reflexology leader that you
feel we need
to hear from? My goal is 5,000 members from all over the world and all different
schools
of thoughts.
I also thought I could use this weekly review to let you know what is going on
that we are
observing that is going on. For example we are still corresponding with the BBC
over the
rather unfair reflexology program. We plan to have a final response to the
program on
Monday. BBC has taken full responsibility for the program and contends that is
is fair and
accurate portrayal of reflexology.
Dr. Sykes, the program's focus has been active. She is on Open University web
site in a
video chiding CAM practitioners for using scientific language. Seem it is hard
to make her
happy.
Barbara and I just finished an article for the Chinese Reflexology Association.
It is on
history. It is an honor to write for this organization, It is made up of
thousands of
members mostly doctors from my understanding.
People seemed really pleased with the Reflexology Association of America's
convention.
Perhaps members can give their impressions. Moshe seemed to be very happy with
the
results. Remember the cancer and reflexology conference.
It was great fun to hear from Moshe as he awaited a flight at JFK. We hope to
hook up by
Skype.
Azis from the Malaysian Association is very pleased with the information we were
able to
provide. His association is going for a clinical designation with the
government. Good luck
Azis.
So that is a quick review of the week. Love to hear any news or events you have
to offer.
