Hi All,
I just joined this group this morning. I am in the second week of my
BFL challenge, and doing OK, nothing to brag about there. The cardio
is especially difficult, but I keep hanging in there and doing the
best I can. I have a long way to go before I can wear a red bikini and
look like a human in it, but I am determined to get there. Looking
forward to chatting with all of you.

In case some of you may not know our own Michelle Lee has narrated a
copy of the new Champions Body for Life Book.
It's 4 and 1/2 hrs long and Michelle's refreshing and animating ability
to tell a story made the hrs seem like minutes and left me  not wanting
the story to end.  If you haven't purchased your copy yet, Please
believe me, it's a must listen to.


I listened to it on the way to Kansas City for the BFL event and
followed along with the book.  I enjoyed it tremendesly and called
Michelle that night to let her know.

"Physique of the Week" - Jun 23, 2008 Congratulations
GETHERDONELINDA!

Linda has made her presence known in the fitness world for quite some
time now. Everyone has heard her voice echoing loud and clear on the
Body-for-LIFE Guestbook, BFL Tracker, and other related sites. You
can't miss a name like GET HER DONE.

Her story is incredible and her journey has been amazing. After
reading it, one can easily realize that Linda is not just a talker,
she strongly backs up her words with meaningful actions.

She wants to be a BFL Champion but she is already a Winner with Body
Team Focus; our FIRST winner of the Physique of the Week and we are
honored to feature her story for the week of Jun 23, 2008.

About the Winner:

"I was always a great believer in Exercise. I was an aerobic
Instructor growing older and gaining weight. I learned I had 2
herniated Disks, Fibermyalgia and a thyroid problem. Friends
convinced me that I was turning 50 years old and I had nothing to
prove to anyone, It was time to stay at home enjoy my life and my
grandkids. I Quit teaching and gained more weight, before I knew it I
was over 200 lbs, hurting and uninspired to do anything. I became
depressed and did not like the person I had become. I found an add in
the Sunday newspaper for The Body for Life Program. I looked it up on
the internet and instantly knew it was a program for me. I began my
challenge the very next day. Today I am in the best physical and
mental shape of my life. I have lost 75 lbs and 24% BF. At 54 years
old I am once again doing and enjoying the physical things I did at
35. For me, Exercise is my medicine and Body for Life is my life. I
have continued my fitness education and am a certified Master
Personal Trainer and continue to teach aerobics. My dream is to
become a BFL Champion and one day open a fitness gym for every age
group including tiny tots fitness with a healthy eating cafe on
location."

I know there are quite a few people who have ordered or already
received their New Champions BFL book, I'm wondering if  once you
read the book, if you wouln't mine to post your honest reviews of the
book on Amazon and/or Barnes and Noble sites. It's just another small
way to encourage dialog and feedback, as well as answer questions for
other people browsing through the category. I did notice there is
already one review on Amazon.

Of course, there is nothing worse than a "fake" review, and people
can detect that from a mile away... This is completely optional and
just another way to encourage those who feel they'd like to say
something more about the book and their experience with it to share
their thoughts. We really  want the dialog to come straight from the
heart, nor for anyone to feel forced to write something if they
choose not to. But, if there is anyone that  feels they'd like to
share how the book has helped them, or how it can help women, in
particular, or men, or people of any age etc. that would be great.

If you don't want to post a  review, there are many other ways you
can help me  spread the word if you feel you would  like to share the
power of the book with other people. I've personally sent out an
email to my closest friends  and posted a notice at my Gym
encouraging them to check out the book (and the link to it on Amazon
or www.bodyforlife.com), and if there is anyone in their lives who
they feel could benefit from the gift of health, to share this life-
changing info with them.
I am also giving books as Christmas gifts this year.

Champions)
In Columbus Ohio February 29, 2008 to March 2,2008

So, You're thinking about going to the EXPO!!!  What????  You didn't
know about the EXPO!!!  Ok, calm down I'm here to tell you all about
it.
The EAS/BFL EXPO is one of the Greatest events that EAS puts on each
Year.

It's a one weekend experience that you will treasure 4-ever.
Beginning on Friday Night, It's Night of the Champions, A
formal/semi formal cocktail party/ Dinner in one of  the Ball room's
of The Hilton at Eastern in Columbus Ohio.
This is the Night that all the past and Future Body for Life
Champions come to welcome the Newest BFL Champions.  Excitement
fills the air like you can never image and YOU CAN BE A PART OF THE
EXCITEMENT!
The 1st year I heard about the Expo was in 2005 and I thought it was
only for the Winner and the Champions and EAS Staff. Later I found
out I could have gone. I was left out but thanks to my wonderful
friend Jerry Braam  he called me and asked if I would do him favor.
WOW<ME!!!!?Huh"do a favor for The Champ Jerry, I was so excited. He
said if I could stay  up late and  wait for his call he
would call me during the night of Champions Dinner as they announced
the million dollar Winner and I could then post it on all the BFL
sites to let everyone know who won. I happen to be on Vacation
visiting my daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren that weekend in
Virginia but I said Yes and that  was the best yes I said since I
said Yes to marrying Bill. I played on all the websites all night
long going  back and forth from one site to the other. The BFL'ers
were just as excited as I was for me to post the announcement as I
was to receive the call from Jerry. It was midnight when the phone
rang. I wasn't at the expo but in my heart and thru the excitment I
WAS THERE!!!! The cheers and the thrill of hearing the announcement
from Porter " and the Million Dollar Winner is:.....

I was so excited, you  would have thought I won! It was a thrill

Happy New Year Southern Comfort Team! The New (BFL Southern Edition
Group)

Tell us about your holidays, were you still super clean eating or
little cheating or did you do like I did and go overboard??? Did you
keep up with your workouts, I did!

Well this is what BFL is all about,
It's a lifestyle, it's NOT a 12 week fix, that you go hog wild eat
clean as you can exercise your butt off and get to you goal or near
it and then bam! 12 weeks over and so are you.
NO, That's NOT what BILL PHILLIPS had in mind at all. Yes he said it
only takes 12 weeks ( to start a new lifestyle and get in shape)
then after the 12 weeks he even asks in the book and the success
journal what are your future goals? He intended for you to contine
this 12 week journey and make it into a wonderful lifestyle that you
can enjoy, be proud of yourself, feel more in control and feel
better about yourself.
I'm no expert by any means but I will say I have been living the BFL
life style now for 35 months, Yep Jan 24th 2008 I will make my 3
year BFL Anniversary. It's the Best thing I have ever done for my
self. I have lost 75 lbs and 26% BF. I wasn't always fat, only for
about 7 years, things , life happened and I gained, I wasn't happy
and I found BFL and YES BFL made me a happy, healthy and self
confident person. I owe my success to BFL and my Husband for being
such a wonderful support. But some don't have a wonderful support at
home, I heard this all the time and this is why you come to BFL
sites , to get the support, encouragement and answers to questions
you may not find at home.
As many of you already know, I have the OK from BFL to go ahead with
my plans of starting up a new BFL Group for the Southern Region.
This does not mean you can't join if you are not from the south. WE
WELCOME EVERYONE and hope you will join us. For starters, I have
this Southern Comfort Tean on Tracker under the teams fourm and will
now begin posting everyday.

I am also collecting e-mail address to send out a monthly

BFL friends calling my cell, meeting me at the airport, Clara even
gave me a compass so I would never have the fear of getting lost
again.
I went in to meet some friends I had been talking to online that
loved BFL as much as I did and left them as part of my family and
planning when we would get together again.
Meeting the Champions was like meeting Hollywood stars, ONLY BETTER,
The hugs, the smiles, the signing books, the cameras.  You know the
old TV show "CHEERS"  the song says,sometimes you want to go where
everybody knows your name.  Well I'm here to tell you, you know
their name and they know yours
One of my greatest inspirtions Tracy Jeffries yelled out
GET*HER*DONE  as I was walking into the Ballroom, What a thrill that
was!  The Night of Champions Dinner was a night I will never forget,
from 2006 over the phone with Jerry and then in 2007 in person and I
know this year in 2008 will be bigger and better. So please, If you
thought about going, GO!!!!

It is almost here. What are your goals for this new bikini season? Mine
includes ridding myself of the last bit of celulite on the back of my
thighs.  At 55 I am pretty stubborn and I will not listen to the
experts who say its impossible without surgery. I will work harder in
the gym, drink water...use my cellulite cream faithfully...and eat
extra clean these next three months.
At the end of this project, I will buy a brand new red bikini and will
have a professional photographer take my photo...and will add it to the
website.
A girl has gotta have her goals and those rewards! LOL.

I started my 1st BFL challenge 2 years ago today. I remember it
like it was yesterday.

It was Sunday Jan 23, 2005 I was crying, depressed, my daughter was
baking cookies, we got into a fight because I wanted one, she told
me no, they were for her class at school tomorrow, I only wanted
one, she said, yea mama you want one and then before I know it you
will have eaten them all and I'll have nothing to bring to school
tomorrow and you will be crying cause you gained more weight, I got
mad and cried and went in the bathroom saying, fine, I don't want
one of your stupid cookies anyway. I was crying because my daughter
was being nasty to me and because I knew she was right, give me one
and i would eat them all. I was depressed and hadn't been exercising
because everything hurt, I was in the pitts of my life. I went and
sat on the sofa and looked or pretended to look at the sunday
newspaper trying to hold back more tears, when I noticed a body for
life add, win a million $, yea right I thought. But I went on the
computer and looked up the BFL website, read over the plan and saw
that the program was something I felt I could do. I applied for my
challenge booklet and began my challenge the very next morning. the
rest is history. I am a Champ in the making!
70lb less and 22% bf less, medications lowered or cut completely. I
am happy, energitic and feel like a champion, Jacket or no jacket. I
am THE BFL Cheerleader and in my mind I am a BFL spokesperson.
Because I believe in fairly tales, my gauardian angel and Body for
Life.

Contest Rules

The contest will start for any challenge started on or after January
1st, 2007. Final contest photos and contest profiles must be
completed and uploaded or received by mail by March 8th, 2007. You
will have an additional 2 months before the cruise to improve your
condition further!


You must take before and after photos from the front, side and back
with a newspaper showing the date -- the newspaper with date is
required for your entry to be valid. Before photos must be taken any
time on or after January 1st and must be submitted by midnight
central time, February 8th, 2007. After photos must be received by
us by midnight central time, March 8th, 2007. You may upload your
photos to the site, however we may require you to send unmodified
copies to us by postal mail or email if the newspaper dates are not
legible online. You may e-mail photos to webmaster@bodyforlife-
tracker  or mail them to:

and a link will appear in the page to edit your profile for a set of
contest-related questions and essays to be completed no later than
midnight central time, February 10th, 2007. This link/message to the
essay questions may not be available until the end of January.
Please make sure that payment of the entry fee ($25) is received by
midnight central, February 8th, 2007. No entries will be accepted
after that date. Payments are 100% secure and instantly received
through paypal and you can pay with your credit card, paypal account
or check.
Voting by members of the site will begin March 5th, 2007. We
recommend having your final photos added by that time, although it
is not required. The winner will not be determined by the votes of
the site members but votes will factor heavily into the judges
decision.
Contest winners will be determined by a three-member panel of judges
consisting of the site Webmaster (John Ertel) and moderators TJ and
Beka. In the event either moderator is unable to fulfill their
duties, the webmaster will determine a replacement judge.
Prizes and Winners - Grand prize is a cabin with room for 2 people
aboard the Champions for Life 2007 cruise. The grand prize winner
will be announced Friday, March 9th, 2007. If there are enough
entries, we will send the winner a check to help pay for travel
expenses ($300 if we receive over 75 entries, $500 if we receive
over 100 and $0 if we do not receive 75 entries). Winner will be
required to pay for all transportation and related expenses to and
from the cruise out of pocket. Runner up winners will be chosen on
March 16th, 2007. The Member's Choice runner-up who receives the
most member votes (other than the winner) will receive a one year
premium membership to Bodyforlife-tracker    worth $120 which will
remove all ads from the site and provide additional features such as
extra photo gallery space and other premium features. One male and
female inspirational selection will be made by the judges and each
will receive a 6 month premium membership valued at $60.
In the event of extreme lack of participation to justify the
contest, the contest may be cancelled and entry fees fully refunded
if at least 40 people have not entered the contest by February 1st,
2007. Cruise reservations will be made as soon as 40 people have
entered the competition.

along to tracker and the cruise site and the BFL guest book , alot of
the people that were on the cruise may not see this here so I'm
helping you spread the word ok, I know the RB girls on the cruise

ok Listen up everyone, tomorrow, Friday Dec 8th is our last day to
book for the cruise discount, after that the price goes up up and

decide if they would go to the expo or the cruise or both. since the

I made a little movie from a few of my cruise pictures and I added a
special song to it, Bill re-wote the words for me to 9 to 5 and we
used that music and I sang it while making this new slide show.
I hope you enjoy it, I had a blast making it, even though I can't
carry a note to my coach in a gym bag, hah
I was going to to this for the talent show on the cruise but we
never got around to having a talent show so I made this little movie
