Hi,
I am interested on being on the selection committee.
In my opinion 500$ may be too small a sum to make a significant difference for most people. I think the amount of money might need to be large enough to be able to get close to something like the cost of an RDA or the cost of a parent workshop in order to make a real difference. Of course we could always take applications from people who have a specific. smaller, need as well.

2. Amount of awards. Perhaps we should try to award a set amount,
then award that to as many families as possible. Maybe a $500 grant
per family is feasible? Would a higher amount be better? Would
this amount make a true difference for the families that need it?
3. Selection committee. If you still want to be on the
subcommittee that is helping to make selections, please let me
know. I will forward any received applications to the selection
committee members, and we plan a virtual meeting after we decide on
the above (the applications are forwarded to me after they are
received by Fact Family).
4. Continued fundraising. Anyone out there want to spearhead
future fundraising efforts? Unfortunately, I have limited personal
ability for fundraising efforts. Perhaps someone who is not going to
be on the selection committee could be the chief of this
subcommittee.
Any input on the above would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks
to all who have voluteered to help, Jen
