The "RDI Bay Area" group is for parents and professionals in the San Francisco Bay Area helping children on the Autism Spectrum (including HFA, PDD-NOS & Aspergers). The purpose of this list is to provide support, share ideas, answer questions, arrange meetings, etc. related to developmental-based parent-led interventions for ASD.

The original focus of this list was purely RDI (Relationship Development Intervention). For official info on RDI, see - http://www.rdiconnect.com . Some people on this list blend the use of other interventions as well, including Floortime, SON-Rise, ABA, etc. Past discussions have included the Project PACE immersion program in Oregon (http://www.projectpace.com), & local OTs, SLPs, or ABA folks whose were formally (but not currently) RDI certified, such as the folks at Stairway to Friendship in Campbell - http://stairwaytofriendship.com/

Parents can ask for RDI provider recommendations - please note that RDI providers & consultants (both past & presently certified) are on this list as well. Some are parents of ASD kids as well. Feel free to ask questions - some questions may be best answered with a direct reply to the sender.
