Hello Paleo folks,
I'm wondering if there is anyone who could help me with some answers/information
that I'd like to know. Over the years of a great deal of research I have come
to believe that raw paleo is the ideal way to eat. The thing is that based on
lots of information that I have read in lots of various sources, I have also
come to believe that which paleo foods work best for someone depends on their
ethnicity to a degree.
For instance people that lived in colder climates for countless generations may
have eaten much less vegetation than those living closer to the equator and
adapted to this. The book "Survival of the Sickest" discusses this sort of idea
in conjunction with the theory for diabetes.
I believe that raw paleo should be the foundation of nutrition that all humans
should follow, but that the ratios of macronutrients and the particular paleo
foods should ideally come from determining what the most likely diet would be
for the ancestors of that individual and mimicking that diet.
I know that I have brought this topic up before and not everyone agrees with
this idea so I'm not trying to start a debate. What I am curious about is if
there are any particular books or other information that support this idea that
anyone knows of? Maybe I'm just a fruitloop with a dumb idea, but I'd love to
know if there were any others with the same idea.
I know there are lots of paleo books which are all about low fat paleo, raw
paleo, cooked paleo, high fat paleo, but there are any books out there based on
your ancestry?
Thanks for any information on this.. I'm not sure where to start looking.
