Hi Everyone,
Thank you for the invitation Garry.
Just to fully inform people, here are as few guidelines.
As Natural Hygienists, we regard these generally accepted raw potlucks as "transitional" to our health-building ways. They are great for socializing with similar-minded people (organic raw vegans).
However, many of us cannot tolerate salt, sea salt, spices and other condiments, which are irritants and destroy the natural flavours of everything they touch, and as hygienists, we refrain from poor food combinations and have no more than four foods at a meal for our best health through maximum digestibility.
And another critical point that we observe is oxidation. Dr. Herbert M. Shelton writes in Superior Nutrition, p.78,
Fruits and vegetables are surrounded with a tough outer capsule or skin that is designed as an effective barrier against oxidation. But when this is broken, or the fruits and vegetables are cut or peeled, this permits oxygen to reach their inner and now unprotected structures, so that, they begin immediately to oxidize, consequently to lose food value.
So if foods are "prepared" for these "tasty" meals, how much have we really lost in their quality before they are even served?
And how well can we build and repair our own bodies' healthy cells the very best with oxidized foods?
All the best,
Dianne
