Louise and Julia,
Thank you for understanding a little bit about ourselves
intuitively. The only way we can evolve emotionally is to put out an
idea, let the community of people decide for themselves, and if they
don't get it then try reworking the idea to fit through the
psychological defenses we build around ourselves. For those who
didn't quite catch the concept about seasalt then let me try it
another way. Our biology is such to have great instincts as a child,
but when things are forced onto our pallettes against our nature then
we either learn to like it or acquire a mean disposition. The latter
is not well tolerated by the adult community we live in so eventually
we give in to the pressure of reforming to eat what is given. It's a
sad fact that we live in a salt to taste enviroment and acquired
tastes develop. In the past it was a matter of survival to laden the
food supply with salt only to better preserve the winter supply. But
times have changed for us in such affluence that we can pick and
choose without the worry of starving. Now is our oppotunity to
dispell the old wives tales about certain things being good for us,
or bad for us. Of course I'm still waiting to see the article
promised by someone about iodine so yet another one of our concerns
can be completely eased.
