Re: [rawfoodsnaturalhygiene] Re: Salt carvings/addiction
Thank you for the suggestions, Bob. As a cooked food eater was always cold but it much improved on the raw diet. And as for my smell and taste. It is actually fantastic! In an elevator I can smell people as to who eats too much meat, fat, etc.
Today I was at a gathering of over 2,000 people and almost got sick of the smell of some people(not sweat), some of them gased off such horrible odor from their skin. My sense of smell is so keen now that it starts to interfere with my life!

You can at least try the seaweed to see if it relieves the craving. I use kelp, and the package says 1/3 cup contains ~2100% of daily recommended iodine. You can also try 1/4 teaspoon of iodized salt, which contains ~75 mg iodine, the recommended daily amount. See if that relieves the craving, and if so, find a good source of iodine. Be aware that a deficiency in iodine may also mean a deficiency in zinc. They need each other to get absorbed properly in the body. One common symptom of low iodine is always feeling cold. One symptom of low zinc is poor sense of smell or taste. Low iodine and/or zinc can possilbly mean poorly functioning thyroid and/or adrenal glands.
