The Greek philosopher Plutarch, (A.D. 46) said, “Instead of medicine, fast for a day.” And any time you are not well, fasting is the most expedient way to deal with it.It may be for a day. It may be for much longer.

• Fasting gives the body complete physiological rest
that the body needs to heal.
