I was alerted today to Bill C-517 regarding Genetically Modified Foods. Please pass this on, so we can get a groundswell of interest showing up on our MPs' radar.

 

This is a private member's bill to legislate the mandatory labelling of Genetically Engineered Food.

 

Please take a moment to consider this.

 

By luck of the Parliamentary draw, a private member's bill supporting mandatory labelling of GE food in Canada was randomly selected for debate in the House of Commons in April. It is important that federal MP's vote in favour of Bill C-517 on the second reading. The stakes are high but this time the bill has a very good chance of becoming law. You have the power to persuade our federal government to support this bill and to put the health and well-being of humanity and the planet in priority.

 

Please let you federal MP know your opinion.

This is a big site which includes a directory of food products and manufacturers who do/probably do or don't use GMO ingredients. Greenpeace has set up a log of MPs who have been contacted and any responses they send back to us, if we forward them the the Greenpeace site.
