This ban will have major benefits for generations to come and is a big step toward to a greener Ontario. I am asking you to join me in supporting this proposal by sending an email to our Minister of the Environment, the Honourable John Gerretsen. “Thank you for following through with your commitment to toxics reduction. I support a province-wide ban on the sale and use of lawn and garden pesticides, including those used in golf course management. The ban should be expanded to also include managed forests, as the province of Québec did in 2001 when its Forest Protection Strategy mandated the elimination of herbicides."
