Welcome Sharon,
You will be coughing up some nasty stuff in the first few days. It is your body
trying to get rid of all that nasty gunk. When you smoke you kill off the cilia
(the little hair cells in your lungs that sweep foreign material up and out).
When you quit- they start to grow back.
Hang in there- you can do it!!
Sincerely,
Dave

on Wed/July 8th 2009. I'm 42 and started smoking when I was 15. I've quit
several times, but I know this is my final quit. I am coughing up the nastiest
gunk and it's liberating to free myself of the addiction. Looking forward to
getting to know all of you.
