hi colleen - my quit date is monday feb 9 and i saved your email  - how are you
doing? -  i've cut back a bit on the cigs and am redoing the lessons and hope i
make it - my biggest goal is a lot less shortness of eath - i'm almost 63 an
have been smoking quite a few years ad am tired of the shortness of breath - i
don't want to go on oxygen equipment in the future - i thank you for listening

When I want a smoke I look at pictures of damaged lungs, what smoking
does and how it kills you. Some people make videos about loved ones
who died. This one I saw.. showed a man who wasn't too old but looked
like he was 60! His little son was holding him while he was holding a
sign... dying of cancer saying not to smoke.

I also think of my grandparents I lost to lung cancer. And prayer...
lots of prayer.

Basically I try to scare myself and remind myself why it's so
important to stay quit. And chewing gum/candies haha

I think that it does get at least a little easier. Once you have replaced your smoking habit with knew ones.  I for example started chewing sugarless gum....
