Eyes
To prevent eye diseases, first thing in the morning splash cold water into the open eyes. Or, when brushing your teeth in the morning, begin by "brushing" the back of the throat. This will make you gag slightly, and will bring up mucus. It will also make the eyes tear, washing the surface of the eyes.
To keep the eyes healthy, drink a mixture of 6 ounces of carrot juice, 6 ounces of celery juice, 2 ounces of endive juice and 2 ounces of parsley juice. Almonds are also good for the eyes.
For soreness and redness, place grated raw potato between two pieces of sterile gauze and apply to the eyes. When the potato dries out, replace it.
For bloodshot eyes, apply a drop of warm honey to the open eyes.
