Mount Wudang Qigong Kung Fu Training Retreat
Intensive Kung fu and Qigong retreat in beautiful and mystical Mount
Wudang in Mainland China.
Mount Wudang covers an area of 321 square kilometers wide, with rich
beautiful scenery and many ancient Taoist cultural relics. Zhang
Sanfeng who was a popular boxing player in Song Dynasty, is thought
to be the founder of Wudang Kung Fu. Zhang Sanfeng is the popular
figure who created the original art of Tai chi that we see practiced
today. The arts of Hsing-Yi and Pa Kua are also looked on as Wudang
art forms.
As of today, Wudang Taoism Association and other organizations has
published more than 30 schools of Wudang boxing forms, 18 schools of
Wudang weapon forms and 9 schools of inner Qigong practice forms.
Among them the popular methods are follows: Wudang Taiyi Five
Element Boxing, Wudang Pure-Yang Boxing, Yin Yang Ba Gua Chang,
Wudang Sword, Wudang Original Taichi Boxing, Taihe Boxing, Zhaobao
Taichi Boxing, Wudang Heavenly-Gate Qigong, Wudang Moon-Watching
Qigong, Wudang Southern School, and many others.
Willow Woods Wudang Kung Fu Qigong Training Center under the
direction of Masters Liu Lee Hang and Liu Deyi will be teaching
authentic Wudang Kung Fu arts such as Wudang Five Elements Inner Kung
Fu Arts, Pure Yang Three Secret Skills, Five elements Health
Preservation Kung Fu, Three-gems-go-around Tai Chi Boxing, and Wudang
8-Direction Bamboo Flute. Taoist meditation and qigong methods will
also be taught. A chance of a lifetime to study the rare Taoist arts
in beautiful Wudang Mountain.
Teacher Hu Xuezhi and Jesse Lee Parker will take residence in the
Wudang area from October of 2003. They plan to rent a very nice
villa with a private cook to prepare very healthy foods. We invite
practitioners to journey to China in order to study the traditional
Qigong and Kung Fu arts. The wudang area is steeped in legend and
lore; a very mystical wonderland, perfect for inner practice and the
exploration of the Traditional Taoist arts. The cost for this study
is very affordable. The daily costs for room and board for the
student can be as low as 15 dollars a day. Teacher Hu would also
like to offer intensive Taoist Qigong Meditation retreat sessions to
interested students.
