HI! Writing on behalf of a friend whose purebred lab was diagnosed as
having dog acne, and vet said due to genetics. Dog has small red
bumps/welts on body, especially stomach, underarm, chest. They do not
get infected or pussy, and they do not itch. Also has generalized
skin flaking, and dull coat. It has been tested/checked by vet for
flea allergies and mange, and it is neither. Antibiotics clear it up
but then in a few weeks it comes back. She doesn't use
chemicals/pesticides in or around her home. She is starting him on
some oils added to food (flaxseed, etc.) but not sure exactly which
ones to use. Also wanted to know if anyone has experience with this
and any natural suggestions. Raw diet is probably her last resort.
