Having problems with message search?
Just joined and already have lots of questions.
First, about MSM. I did a quick browse of the archives and was a little disturbed about the discussion on MSM. Darleen (list owner) said she would not have suggested MSM because she only suggests natural remedies. After consulting an animal nutrionist, MSM is one of the supplements recommended for my dog with renal disease. This nutritionist only recommends a raw diet and all supps/vitamins are supposed to be natural, homeopathic remedies. Is MSM an exception? I pulled the bottle and the label says "MSM is a natural form of organic sulphur found in all living organisms." (emphasis on label) Now I'm confused.
Second, I tried to open the post on poisonous plants, but it was blank. I've been walking my dogs a lot and often, they come home smelling like lavender. Is lavender toxic to animals? I think most of the trees lined along the sidewalk are surrounded by lavender here.
Third, a friend of mine just told me she gave baby aspirin to her dog for pain relief. Red flags went off in my head, but the only sources I found via an internet search said aspirin was OK so long as it was buffered aspirin and fed with food. Any thoughts? Any suggestions for a natural form of pain relief?
