GIZMO NEEDS OUR HELP!

I work with one of our local humane societies to help deal with the
incredible problem of
abused, abandoned and unwanted animals in our area. The need is tremendous
on a good day.

Yesterday, I met the newest addition to The Good Shepherd's efforts. His
name is Gizmo and
he is a little white wiry terrier mix with big pointy ears that kind of act
like radar. He
is a neat little character who walks into a room and lights it up, all the
while stealing
your heart while you aren't looking. Despite all of his troubles, he
continues to be friendly,
funny and a sweet little fellow to everyone. I don't know all of the
circumstances as to
how he ended up with The Good Shepherd but I was informed by our director
last evening
that at his vet visit it was discovered that he has a fractured jaw. We
don't know how
this came to be but it needs to be fixed.

Here is where I hope all of you will come in. The surgery and care that
Gizmo is going to
have will be very expensive but The Good Shepherd is a volunteer based,
no-kill shelter.
If it can be fixed and an animal given a second chance at getting a loving
home where they
will be safe for the rest of their lives, they do whatever it takes. So I
am going to ask
each of you to look into your heart and see if you can justify a few dollars
out of your
budget this month to help us, help Gizmo. This isn't a hoax and you can
check out the
organization's web page at:

http://www.dogsaver.org/goodshepherd/index.html

Each dollar you send is completely tax-deductible. Checks can be made out to:
THE GOOD SHEPHERD HUMANE SOCIETY and can be mailed to:
The Good Shepherd Humane Society
10 Dover Square
Sharpsburg, GA 30277

If you will mark clearly on your check and the envelope for GIZMO and
include a sheet of
paper with your name, email address and amount donated, I will personally
see that you are
sent a receipt via email to give to verify your donation to the IRS. Any
and all help you
can provide will be greatly appreciated and will give Gizmo a much needed
second chance at
the life he is supposed to lead.

If you have made it this far, thank you for taking the time to read this and
I hope that
you can find it in your heart to help.
Bright Blessings,

Angharad Truthsayer
