I remember you saying it is not healthy for a animal to eat once a day, but
what if that is what he wants? The puppy, now eight months, has stopped
eating during the day. He may get a few treats for some training or such,
but he will not eat his food until about 7-8 p.m.. He is still active. We
hike at least once a week. He has his last puppy class tomorrow and if he
ignores the cat food distraction, he'll graduate. However I was thinking of
taking him on to go to agility play time, but don't I sometimes worry about
his eating habits. Since he is technically mom's dog he often gets only
kibble. He loves the food and treats I cook for him, but he still only
eats a meal late in the evening. He is not undernourished, as far as I can
tell and the vet office. Sometimes I get so worried about him eating I'll
do some training at 8:30 p.m. and give him his food. Should I just figure
he is not hungry? He doesn't beg us for food, he just is not interested in
it. Only wants more water. At which he usually pukes up some later. I
just got him raised dishes, (actually flower pots to sit the dishes in).
Now his body no longer convulses when he drinks, but he still will spit some
up afterwards. Even though we keep him calm at least ten minutes after he
eats or drinks.

I'm sure I have a question buried up there somewhere. Sorry I ramble.

Thanks,
Kim and Tlingit
