Hi - you might check into a shampoo with Neem oil in it. *Ask your
vet first*, and perhaps someone else on this list might know about it. My
chinese crested bitch recently has had a liver problem and we needed to try
to find something to use on her for fleas. I've had pretty good success
with it. I've been able to find it in the health food store's pet section.
