Hello,

I'm Kimberly from NW Louisiana. I am into alternative healing through
massage, acupressure, and aromatherapy, with some interest in herbs and
vitamins. A mother of 3 kids from previous marriage, and currently expecting
a baby due about Sept. 5th.

We have two dogs. Magic who is 7 1/2 human years old, a boy and is neutered,
is part black labrador and golden retriever, odd combo I know. He has long
hair that loves to mat up and is black.

My dear honey brought home a puppy that's half german shepherd and half chow.
She's very cute, black with some white feet and eyebrows, we named her Mai
Tai. Since he saved her from being taken to the humane society we aren't too
sure on her age, I'm guessing she's about 3 months old.

Would love to learn ways to combat fleas and ticks, and what does a pet owner
do to prevent heartworms? Thankfully our pets have no diseases but am very
open to learning how they can be treated alternatively.
