Yes, it is definitely a sign of nutritional deficiency or illness. I forget
what it was, but someone on my pug list had a dog that ate soap. She took
him into the vet and he had a problem with some internal organ and she was
lucky that he could be treated before it became serious. I wish I could
remember the information for you! I would definitely upgrade to something
better
than Old Roy, though. That stuff is the worst of the worst from what I
understand.

Soap and tissue eating are a sign of a calcium deficiency. I would recommend a high quality vitamin containing at least 50 mg. of calcium for a pet 50 lbs....

I have a 6 month old pup who also loves to tear up tissues. I don't know if he actually ingests any though. He's on all raw diet with RMB's making up about 75%...
