Darlene,
Thanks for the welcome.
Actually, no, my vet didn't really mention a high fiber diet for her.....just
has her on cleanses right now. Perhaps, if/when she is off the cleanses, he will
mention that. Right now she is pooping fine, thank God. Her energy level is
great too.......been catching her rolling in the grass acting all silly like she
used to a long time ago. :-)
He did suggest either raw feeding or 1 specific holistic dog food he carries for
best health. I tried a sample on her and the cats of the food, but they wouldn't
eat it. They LOVE raw food though and I've seen improvements in all of them,
healthwise.

Hi Karen,

Welcome to the group. Your story actually happens more than you might
think and gives vets a worse name than they really deserve. I am very glad
you got a second opinion and are trying to treat the problem naturally.

I don't know if the rabies/distemper shot was the cause of the tumors, but
it certainly is not out of the question. Vaccinations cause many serious
side effects. Cats are also more sensitive to vaccines.

I am sure your vet mentioned feeding a high fiber, high quality diet. A
high fiber diet will help clean the colon and prevent rectal problems.
