Pam, thanks for the advice. So she has an acid problem? The pepsid - do you mean
the human medicine & if so, is it a chewable or a pill & how much do I give. I
think she's about 50lbs. or so. She's a fat doggie, even though I feed her Iams
reduced calorie dog food, so I don't know. Oh, and she gets a little "meow-meow"
at night. That's the special lactose-free milk for cats, made by Friskees Co.
The cat goes CRAZY for this stuff and when he wants some, he relentlessly cries
"meow-meow", so that's how we gave the treat it's name!!! :-) And if doggie sees
me giving him a treat, I can't deny her a bit as well! She only gets about a
Tbsp or so. It has Taurine in it so I'm not sure if that may be bad for her
since it's supposed to be just for cats. But the other thing is maybe our
neighbors are throwing junk to her when she's out in the yard; the dog has a
bottomless pit when it comes to food! I also forgot to mention in the original
post that aside from the symptoms she's having (which also includes HORRIBLE
doggie breath!), she's otherwise energetic and playful, and she has a healthy
appetite. And as for the tea tree oil, I should have mentioned that I treated
her w/ this aromatherapy remedy by dipping a cotton ball in the oil and applying
it to the inside ear flap as well as squeezing alittle oil into the ear itself,
as my aromatherapy book had advised. Now if you say this is bad, then I won't do
that anymore; it's been a LONG time, though, since I treated her w/ this remedy,
but I can tell you that it really did clear up the redness and she scratched
ALOT less. Well, I look forward to any other advice you can give me concerning
the digestive problems & allergies. I really appreciate your help.
