Hi, everyone. I have a little question that I have been really
wondering about; I know it's off topic of health issues but I thought
I'd give it a try, if anyone might have any knowledge about this.
OK ...I'm about 7 1/2 months pregnant right now; it will be dh's & my
1st human baby. Right now we have our two furry babies, a cat & a dog
(doberman mix). I am just dying to know, can the animals sense that
their "mommy" is going to have a baby??? I try to get the dog to rest
her head on my belly so she can feel the baby kick, but she avoids
putting her head there. But sometimes when I'm rubbing my belly, I
see her watching me. I suppose this sounds silly but tell her there's
a "human puppy" in there & then I pet her & tell her she's a good
girl. As for the cat, his daily night-time routine since he was a
kitten (he's now 12) is to jump in the bed w/ us & settle down on
either dh's or my stomach, of course w/ all the LOUD purring. He
seems to avoid walking on my stomach now but a few times it seemed
like he was going to try. Do they know somehow that there's another
baby "animal" (from their perspective) on the way? I think I'm also
getting alittle worried about potential jealousy problems when the
baby comes.
