The hamster will probably not find food on it's own, so as it gets hungry
he will come out of hiding. I would suggest leaving food out while your
daughter is in her room so she can catch him when he comes out. Also leave
food in other places of the house when you are in the room.
Watch the cat closely because if anyone will find him, he will.
