My daughter's hamster is missing. She broke the water vial that was
in the cage and there was a hole left where it use to be. She had
water in a small cup. My daughter was at a birthday party most of
the day and came home and discovered the hamster was missing.

What is the best why to try and "flush" it out? THe room of her door
was closed all day, what are the possibilities that she got out?

Now the scary part...we have a cat, but he is afraid of his shadow.
What can I do so that he won't attack the hamster if he sees it?
