Hi I just got diagnosed with PTC and I am at a total loss of what to
do. I have Polycyctic Ovarian Syndrome, depression and anxiety also,
so I have been really depressed over this diagnosis. I am on Diamox
but otherwise am not being treated with anything else.

I am severely overweight and my Dr. said losing weight would help. I
was going to get the gastric band surgery for weight loss since
because of the PCOS it is really hard for me to lose weight on my own
(I've been trying so hard to no avail...) but they said they won't do
it until the swelling in my optic discs goes down.

I was just wondering what I can expect (I was literally diagnosed like
3 weeks ago) and what I can do, anything holistic I can do? Also, any
other overweight sufferers what do you recommend for weight loss? Any
info on anything would be nice actually since I am so lost in all this.

Thanks so much.

I have no idea where you think you get off telling people - anyone! - to ignore other people's stories. IH is an *individual* disorder. NO ONE's story...

Tasheda, 2000 mg of sodium is still a lot for an IH patient--for me, controlling my sodium intake has been an essential part of getting my symptoms under...

This is a diet for diabetic patients. It has to be a diet of self-will.  If you look at a bottle of water it has sodium in it so we just have to be very...
