I haven't posted in a while, but have a couple of questions. Glen I hope u r reading this, u know I depend on u a lot, lol.
I had to have my vp shunt removed because I kept bumping my head, so much that my tube showed through.
This was on April 8th. Since then, I have been so very dizzy, not just that, it is hard to explain but my balance is way off. Is this because of the shunt being removed or could it be my Meniere's?
While in the hospital the drs put that monitor in my head, (luckily I was asleep when they put it it) and monitored my pressure. It spiked out over 40 a couple of times, but over all average it was 17.
Now a week from today I will go back for a visit to my opthomolgist to see if there is any swelling on my optic nerve. I don't think there is, but my vision is extremely blurry.
My surgeon is going to decide on whether or not to put the other shunt in based on her report. I would like your opinions.
Last but not least a question regarding weight loss. My meds all cause weight gain. My local dr says it is not water, it is actual weight. With my balance being way off, any suggestions? I have been watching portion control. I am proud of those of you who have had the surgeries, but I am still afraid of them, and my local drs are advising against them.
Thank's for listening,
