Looks like the group is active again or may be i stopped checking
messages. where is everyone from, what age, sex etc. I am from
Philadelphia, 29/M. had Psoriasis for about 10 yrs....

Carrie,  I was indeed born and raised in Kansas.  Salina was quite a trip from
me, as I lived in the extreme Northeast portion of the state, in a little burg
called "Seneca".

hi, i'm 20 y/o and I have had my P when I was 18. at first I can't accept my
fate and I felt so alone. I always asked " why me?". even though i felt that way
i didn't give up going to school coz i believe that psoriasis is not a hindrance
for me to achieve my dreams. for now I have to use some altenative medicine like
drinking boiled ampalaya leaves, applying coconut oil all over my body and
taking a bath w/ salted water. stress and food are the one that triggers my psor
so I have to deal w/ it. since my schedule is a very hectic one then i have to
adjust. and we should not give up no matter what.....

Hi Matt! I am 56 and if you don't mind chatting with a mature woman
than I can tell you that I certainly relate to the stress. I was a
victim of a crime 17 years ago that brought out my disease because of
the undue stress in my body. At least that is my view. I began to
have palmer psoriasis on my hands. I work in the public and my hands
crack and bleed and look horrible. I am embarrassed and when I hold
out my hand for change even if they are not cracked the skin is flaky
or purple (caused from medication...the skins looks like I have been
burned) The bad part is I love to Kayak, I am an artist/muralist, like
to hit a bucket of balls, go 4-wheeling, fishing...well you get my
drift and when you have psoriasis on your hands it affects everything.
Even when I cook or have to bathe...on a positive note...it could be
worse...some people have it on their feet. After saying all this I do
not want to discourage you. I have periods where it is all
clear......and I feel on top of the world...It is a strange disease.

Age is just a number. It is a strange disease, indeed. My hands and feet are
about the only places that I have never had an outbreak, and mine has never gone
