Hi,
I'm Susie and I just found this group.
I'm 40, a single mom living in Silicon Valley.
I am not sure what kind of discussions are being had here, but I thought I
would jump right in and share some good news.
I was recently prescribed methotrexate for my psoriasis and I just couldn't
fathom doing that, so I stopped seeing the doc.
I have been going to an acupuncturist for 2.5 weeks, have gotten on milk
thistle, curcumin, fish oil, and flax seed oil, I've cut out alcohol almost
completely and I try to drink a gallon or more of water a day. I continue to
use my topicals and will so long as the doc keeps renewing the prescription even
though I don't want to see her anymore.
In the last two and a half weeks my arms and elbows have completely cleared
(they were bad), and my shins are clearing (they have been just terrible for a
decade!). I had it bad, did all the topicals, UVB, the whole nine yards, and
NOTHING worked and I was starting to get blisters (which can be very severe, I
know, and they HURT like a burn). All it took was switching to reducing the
toxins I put in my body and taking some herbs and oils and I already see such a
difference! I am astonished. I had always pooh pooed the idea.
So anyhow, if any of you out there are as fed up with Western medicine as I
was, there's hope! GEEZE, and it's sooooo much cheaper than UVB three times a
week. I'm just amazed, and I thought I would share.
All best,
Susie
