Hi all,
Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm 26 and I live in Toronto,
Canada. I've had p since I was 15. Started as a single spot on my
scalp and now it's almost covered. Also several small spots on arms,
back, and legs which appeared in the last year or two. I've tried
various steroids as well as dovonex and none of them really get the
job done. I get lazy and frustrated with putting them on. Best amount
of clearing was when I spent 10 days last summer on vacation in
Vancouver. I was outside most of the time and my arms cleared right
up. If I only had the nerve to shave my head! I'm planning to get a
Derma-Pal unit (basically a UVB wand with a comb attachment) and see
how that does.
I broke up with my last girlfriend over a year ago, for reasons other
than p (it wasn't as bad then). I am finding it a real challenge to
even bother trying to ask girls out in this condition. The
embarrassment and possible rejection make me nervous. No one (male or
female) has ever flat out rejected me because of it so far though. I
try to conceal it as much as I can but it's getting harder.
Aside from p, I'm a big music buff. I love concerts and collecting
music. I used to be in a band and play guitar but haven't touched it
in a while. My apartment isn't suited for cranking up the volume
unfortunately. I am also a vegan (for the most part, no meat, fish or
dairy) and have an interest in healthy eating. I graduated from
Computer Science in 2001 and I now work in downtown Toronto for a
large IT consulting company.
So there you have it folks. Me in a nutshell.
Cheers,
Graham
