I am new here.

MY name is Steve Meikle (if it does not show up) I am 46 and come
from NEw Zealand


I underwent my ordeal at the hands of the false religion that is the
psychiatric system back in 1982-3. I had two choices: believe them
and become a shuffling wreck, brain damaged drug addicted and a
chronic invalid, or to reject the theory, which even when i was doped
up with Chlorpromazine, I was able to logically examine and find to
be bankrupt.

I have written an article on my stay in the local madhouse. I do not
expect you to agree with my moralistic take on my own condition, but
it has worked for me. Nevertheless I think that you might recognise
signs of psychiatric criminality in it.

ALso I have a question. MY mother has just been diagnosed with
Alzheimers Disease. Is ALzheimers a real medical pathology? THey can
point to tangles and plaques in brain cells, but cannot say which
causes the condition or whether either or them do at all.

My mother is stil committed for the earth shattering reason that she
is disinclined to take a shower. Is this sloppy thinking or what?

My mood is to reject the diagnosis. IS this justified?
