Finished up the clinical trial today (20 days...higher dose each day)
Everything went very well...I had hardly any side effects. Of course I will be
anxious to monitor my PSA and possible future side effects over the next year or
so. And it will be interesting when we have enough data to see how this shorter
program compares to the current 45-day protocol. For me, it was the right
choice...I loved it here, but I'm happy to be moving along with my life 5 weeks
sooner.

Congrats on your last treatment Dave,
I was treated with 44 treatments at MPRI in Bloomington, IN in summer 2005.
I'll be interested in seeing how you do.  It would be a real step forward if protons could be delivered effectively in 5 weeks verss 9 weeks.
Keep us informed.
Rick

I also offer my congratulations!

Please keep us posted. Do you happen to know how many men are participating in
the clinical trial?

Thanks

Fuller

Not positive...thought I read somewhere that they were targeting 150 and I think maybe 40 or 50 are complete. There were 10-11 guys at my exit interview and 3 were in the trial. .

My husband Steve completed the trial at LLUMC May 26, at the time Dr Grover said they were targeting 300 and Steve was the 4th or 5th in the trial.  He is still doing great, by the way.  And congratulations on finishing your PBT.
