Re: [Prostate Health] Seeking Support Info

Newly diagnosed(beginning of Sept) and found the right doctor and
hospital and began hormone(luprin/casodex) treatment till my prostate
shrinks enough for seeds and radiation. I went through all sorts of
mental stages ( still do)especialy since my gleason is a 9 but small
volume. ONLY he can come to grips with it. You might think he is in
the depths of depression but he might surprise you and be dealing
with himself and his short term future immediately and then the long
term future will follow. Im 60 but my wife and I dont have a burial
plot so I bought two for us this week in the group of plots near my
parents. My wife thought that this meant I was in deep depression. I
am not infact Im seeing things much clearer than before and I am the
same as I always was. I work part time ( retired 4 yrs ago) do all the
work for it as an administrator of a State testing program, take care
of the business of my family and dog and cat. do my other usual things
like my periodontal mantenance and care of my car.
He too will realize he has done his best to protect himself and go on
with life. We are going to Atlantic City this weekend and a play next
friday and dinner out on weekends. Movies that just came out and
sleep well and take viamins and things take care of themselves. Just
keep up with doctors appoinments and procedures. I hope this helps
