Hello to all,
Good to hear from you Stephanie. Greg is slowly making some progress. He is still moving his head from side to side and moves his right foot and toes. He has good movement in his jaws and mouth. Still no movement in his arms. His muscles in his arms, back and upper legs are getting bigger and he has gained weight. We know this by the way his pajamas fit around the waist. He has had pneumonia again and is on clarithromycn now. If we could just get his lungs strengthened and keep him from getting the pneumonia, we think he would improve much faster. We are putting the weight on his chest each day to try to get the lungs stronger. He gets a full body massage three times a week and that is helping tremendously. We have been trying to get him on HGH but have not been able to get the doctor to get this accomplished yet. We certainly hope and pray that all the group is improving.
By the way, Wendell had knee replacement surgery on July 1 and came home from the hospital today. He is doing good but we sure can use all of God's help to get us through the next few weeks with therapy for two in the house now.
Love and Prayers for you all,
The Reeces -- Wendell, Jackie & Greg

Hey Everyone!!! How yall doin'? I hope you are well, happy, healthy as possible and not missing me too much! Haha jk about the missing me. I miss each of you so much! I often think about the fun times we shared in Peru. What a fun group we were. We were so much fun we were the only group to go to Peru...haha They just couldn't beat the first group so they stopped! Haha. Jk about that too. Too bad they are not going to Peru for trials anymore. Even through the secondary complications with accessibility and the language barrier, I still had a really unforgettable and enjoyable time in Peru.
Please send me updates on your progress. If you do not mind I would like to post info on my personal website about the improvements the group has had. Just let me know.... miss you all so much!!!
Take care and good luck to each and everyone of you!!!

First of all.... I wanted to say congrats to all who have seen any type of improvement since the stem cells. For those who have not noticed anything, do NOT get discouraged one second. It is only the beginning of incredible, miraculous things to come for each of us. Its still so early. The way I look at it is like this... God cant give it all to us in just one day. It brings Him joy to bring us happiness each day, so why not draw the recovery out over a longer time period... ha just a thought. And the fight only makes us stronger in the end. Keep the FAITH...and HOPE...and you eyes on the prize!!! You are all in my prayers...
As for an update for me...
I actually do have exciting news to share with you today. Last week in the gym, I was showing an increase in nerve connection below my level of injury. My initiation to make voluntary movements was showing improvement and was stronger than before I went to Peru. This was exciting to see, but today really got me pumped about my chances for recovery.
While training with Nito today at Pressing On, I made some voluntary movements with my quads. While sitting on the edge of the therapy table, I was able to kick my foot up to fully extend my leg. I made a few full movements by myself and on others only with very little stimulation to the muscle. I was also connecting better with my muscles during other exercises as well, but the leg extensions are most exciting. We also noticed that instead of pushing through my hips to initiate a movement, I was connecting to the correct muscles to make them myself. These movements and nerve connections are definitely new for me and was exciting to see happen, for me & Nito. Today I saw my first TRUE signs of return since the stem cell injections.
Ill keep ya posted and will hopefully get some video this week. Miss & love you all!!! Keep praying... God is Good all the time!!!!

Hello Everyone, Enjoyed the pictures Stephanie. The last three days we have seen great progress in Greg. He has been up in his wheelchair for a couple hours each day and on Thursday, April 24, he wanted to go outside so Wendell wheeled him out on front porch for about 30 minutes. He sat there and moved both legs back and forth with ease. Still no movement in hands and arms yet but therapist is hopeful there will be soon. Take care everyone and we are praying the stem cells are regenerating for all. Wendell, Jackie & Greg
Amen!!! God is Good! His hands are definitely at work here. I am so
excited for Greg & Reece family. Little by little, prayers are being
answered. Its only the beginning of awesome things & I can't wait to
hear more. Please give Greg a big hug & kiss from me. Miss you all.
Keep smiling!

Hey Yall! Well...today was a great day in the gym. I worked out with Nito for an hour after work. My legs were wild today. Im still super spastic and it seems that my legs are trying to wake up. I was initiating movements better than ever today. Nito could really tell a difference and that it was something new. Hopefully soon I will be able to control the exact muscles necessary to make voluntary movements... Keep praying the connection continues to grow stronger. As for sensation, I feel a slight increase of sensation in my right foot, calf, knee & hip at times. Its like my muscles wake up
for a lil bit and then go back to sleep. Kinda wierd feeling at times... Big hugs & Kisses from Texas to you all! Chao Chao Stephanie

Hello Raul,
It is good to hear from you. We had a good flight home and arrived here at 9:10 p.m. Monday evening. Greg is doing good. His physical therapist was here yesterday and says that his left foot has improved about 20 degrees and occupational therapist was here today. He will start getting massage therapy next week. We are praying for improvements each day.
Thanks for all your help while we were in your country. We appreciate all you did for us. We have told our friends and family members about you and all the other wonderful people there and how good we were treated while we were there. Wendell is taking his medicine that you helped him to get for his arthritis.
Take care and God Bless you.

Hello everyone,
We made it home safely and without mishap. We were very grateful to land in Richmond Virginia after a night without sleep. When we got to our car, we found out that the battery was completely dead so we called AAA and they came and had to replace my battery. A minor delay.
Stephanie left Monday night for San Antonio with a stop over in Knoxville, TN for a nap. We miss her but know she needs to be in Texas for now.
Make it a great day.
